My 9 month check-up

Today I went to visit Dr. Sanders for my 9 month check-up. I like Dr. Sanders a lot, she makes me laugh. I'm not so fond of that nurse who gives me the shots. Luckily, I didn't have to get any shots today so it was a fun visit. I'm weighing in at 20lbs 14oz (and Mommy's back is feeling it) and I am 28.5 inches long. Mommy and the doctor talked a lot and it was very boring for me. I kept trying to grab a blood pressure cuff so I'd at least have something to chew on, but I couldn't quite reach it. I can't believe that by my next doctor's appointment, I will be a year old!

(On a side note: When Mommy was pregnant with me, she belonged to an online community of pregnant mommies who were due in July 2005. There was a lady in the group who was pregnant with triplets and gave birth very early due to some complications. All of the babies were very tiny, and two of them went to heaven after only a few days. One little boy survived and today is his first birthday. Although we've never met "in real life", we think of him often and want to wish him a very special Happy Birthday!! Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his mommy and daddy on what must be a happy and sad day for them.)

What a wonderful big boy you are! Thank goodness no shots but I bet you had your eye on that nurse! Never can be too careful, sometimes they sneak up behind you! Our hearts and prayers go out to your little buddy and his Mommy and Daddy. We love you big boy.

Love and hugs and kisses, Grammy and Grandpa
