Sometimes I like to relax and peruse my lego magazine in bed in the mornings.

It's a nice way to get ready for my busy day.

Drawing Machine

I draw all day long. And when I am done drawing, I draw some more.

Sometimes Mommys just don't get it

Me (on the way to the grocery store after school): "Where are we going?"
Mommy: "To the grocery store."
Me: "Why?"
Mommy: "To buy groceries."
Me: (big sigh) "Mommy, I need you to do these things BEFORE you pick me up"

Zoolights

We took a special trip to the Stone Zoo this week. We have been there several times before and I was surprised to find out that 1. They are open at night and 2. They are open when it's cold outside. Who knew! My friend Alex and his family came with us.



Some of the animals are staying somewhere else for the winter but a few of them, including the reindeer, were still there. The Zoo was decorated with lots of pretty lights. It was very cool.

We looked for the river otters in their tank but they were hiding. The river otters don't mind the cold. It made me wonder if any live in the Merrimack River near my house. Hmmmm. We posed for pictures in front of their tank. As you can see, Alex and I were having a "funniest 5 year old" competition.

I think it was a tie.

Counting down the days with Legos!

Now that we are home from our Thanksgiving adventure, it is time to get ready for Christmas!

I am SO excited about Christmas this year. I was a huge help decorating the house. My favorite decoration is my new lego advent calendar. Every day I open a little door and get legos! Best thing ever.

Okay, then

I had an interesting story to share with my family today:

God came to my school today (at recess, naturally) and explained to me that broccoli comes from trees.
Fun fact - God wears a green shirt with clementines on it.
