My "Day out with Thomas"

Today I took a trip to Edaville Railroad to meet one of my favorite literary characters, Thomas the Tank Engine. I was beside myself with joy when we pulled in and I caught a glimpse of Thomas chugging down the tracks.

Once I knew that Thomas was there, I developed a one track mind. (Get it? Track? I crack myself up). I did not want to do anything BUT ride on Thomas. My expression in this picture sums up my feelings towards the other rides and attractions.

Mommy tried to convince me that this train was Thomas' friend Emily but I knew better. Emily is green and has a face. I decided to be a good sport and pose for a picture anyway.

Here we are waiting for our turn to ride on Thomas.

During the train ride.

I got a "Jr. Engineer Certificate" on the train and I was very excited about that.

I added some color to it when I got home.

I got a new train and some new trucks while we were there. I even managed to play with them for a few minutes before I fell asleep on the way home.

How exciting little guy, you got to ride on your favorite toy!!!!!
You are quite a comedian, too! I know you had a great time. Mommy told me she had made reservations for your "Day out with Thomas". What a lucky little guy you are!

Hi Ben,

What a wonderful trip!! GGma and GGpa took your Grandpa and your Gruncles to Edaville RR when they were little boys...But, Thomas wasn't there yet. They rode on the train and rides, but your trip looked like a lot more fun with Thomas...He is such a fun engine!! You look tired but sooooo content. Love you little one.
