Christmas Adventures

Mommy and Daddy debated and debated how to handle the Christmas Tree situation this year. I don't know if you've noticed this about me, but I am very curious and tend to get into everything. We made a family decision to get a small tree and put it on the dining room table. I think it looked very pretty.

A few times, I talked Mommy into letting me play with the ornaments. I also liked to touch the lights and say "hot" (because they are hot, in case anyone was wondering).

I went to a few different parties this Christmas season, but the one I enjoyed the most was my playgroup's party at my friend Brent's house. Don't I look fetching in my Christmas sweater? (Okay, not the best picture but I was very fascinated with the air freshener and Mommy couldn't get me to hold still so she could take a better one.)

Santa (who looked vaguely like Clara's dad) stopped by the party and brought us presents! I got three books that I had been asking for and I was very excited.

Last weekend, Mommy and Daddy and I were faced with a rare situation: A Saturday without any other commitments. I spent the time supervising the construction of my new toybox.

On Christmas Eve, we went to GGma and GGpa's house in Connecticut.
I had a lot of fun playing with this singing and dancing penguin/snowman/christmas tree thing (which GGma threatened to send home with us). Eventually, somebody found the off button for me.

Hanging with GGpa in the kitchen.

When we got home, I played with my new bulldozer before I went to sleep.

On Christmas morning, I didn't understand what was going on but Mommy and Daddy were very excited for me to unwrap gifts. They kept handing me things to rip apart, so I wasn't complaining but I was still a little confused. I was surprised to find out that there were actually things under the paper. A lot of the time, they were things that I found enjoyable so I got into it pretty quickly.
Mommy had to help me with some of them.

Wait a minute, these aren't mine!

A cute video of me opening a present...

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY!!!!

I'm back!

I haven't posted in a little while because I have been very busy! I had to take some time off from blogging and playing with my friends so I could go to Atlanta to supervise my Grandpa's recovery from surgery. I am happy to say that, under my careful observation, he is doing very well and I had a great visit. How could I not when there were so many doors to open and stairs to climb?

Mommy and Daddy took me to my first GA Tech football game. I had fun clapping and watching all the action. (You'll notice that only two of us are wearing the appropriate colors and neither of us are actual GT grads.)

Real men wear Kozys.

We celebrated Thanksgiving while we were in Atlanta also. The food was delicious and I was very excited that I could participate this year. After we ate, everyone was sleepy...except me! I was the smart one who napped BEFORE the meal. I managed to talk Daddy out of napping so he could play with me.

I like to run.

Now that I've mastered walking, I've decided to go ahead and start my training for the 2024 Boston Marathon. Walking is so five minutes ago, I need to run! I like to run in my house from the foyer to the kitchen and back again, although sometimes baby jail gets in the way. I especially like it when Mommy and Daddy bring me to a wide open space and let me take off. I prefer flat surfaces, since hills are challenging, but I take whatever I can get.

Let's go this way, Daddy!

Whoa, I'm tired! I need to learn how to pace myself.

My first Pats jersey

Is that Tom Brady listening to Daddy's headphones?

He looks taller on TV.

15 month check-up

This week I went to visit Dr. Sanders for my 15 month check-up. I am 31 inches tall and I weigh 25 lbs and 12 oz. Don't even get me started talking about the scale. I HATED sitting on that thing and I made my displeasure known to everyone in the building. I didn't get any vaccinations this time but I did get a flu shot. I didn't mind the shot so much, but I really didn't like sitting still. Don't they know I am a very busy boy and I have things to do? I don't have time for all this flu shot nonsense. At my next check-up, I will be one and a half. Maybe by then someone will convince me that the scale isn't so bad.

My Halloween photo shoot

Who remembers this guy, the skeptical but very cute octopus who sat nicely on the couch while his mommy took his picture?

That guy has left the building. Meet the new me, the rambunctious bumblebee who will not sit still for two seconds and ignores his mommy's repeated attempts at bribery.

I'm still pretty cute though, if I do say so myself.

And the other bees...

Daddy said I could wear my Tech jersey since they beat Miami today.

I think it may be a tad too big.

Architecture is exciting. Really, it is.

Daddy took me with him to one of his architecture sites last weekend.

As you can see, I found the trip quite thrilling.

At least I got a graham cracker out of the deal.

Apple-picking '06

Mommy and Daddy and I took our second annual apple-picking trip yesterday. Last year, being an apple-picking novice and not yet knowing the joy of solid food, my participation was limited to grabbing leaves and falling asleep. This year, I was much more involved and I had a ton of fun.
Here are some pictures of all the apple-picking goodness....

After we picked apples, we visited the goats in the petting zoo.

And last but not least, my pumpkin patch '06 and '05 comparison pictures!

Watch me go!

After much pratice, I took my very first steps this weekend!!!

I'm a little shaky but I will keep practicing. Here's a clip of me in action (you'll have to tilt your head to the side a little bit to see it - sorry!)

Heh, heh...my parents have no idea what they are in for now!

Dinner Time

Hmmm....we seem to be running low on garlic powder. I'll have to add it to the list.

Me and Max

I have been spending a lot of time with my friend Max lately. I have learned a lot from Max. He is two weeks older than me and therefore much, much wiser. Among my new talents are: sharing toys and opening tubs of raisins with my teeth.

Here are some pictures of us being cute....

I love tomatoes

Mommy grew lots and lots of tomatoes in her garden this year. She keeps saying she doesn't know what to do with them all. I decided to do my part by eating one as a snack.
Yummy.......
