Zoo

This weekend, Mommy and Daddy and I drove all the way to Providence to visit the animals at the Roger Williams Park Zoo. Alexandra and her parents came with us. I saw lots of new animals I'd never seen in real life before. I read up ahead of time so I could correctly identify them. Sometimes the grown-ups would get too slow and Alex and I would have to remind them that there were "more animals" up ahead.

Here is the great, big elephant with some plants in the way. I think Mommy was trying to take an artistic shot or something.

Alexandra and me (and our dads) watching the elephants.

Still pretty enthralled with the elephants.

The giraffes were inside in the morning because it was a bit too cold for them outside. Later in the day, we saw them outside and wow are they tall! This is the zoo's new baby giraffe with his mommy. He was just born last month and they said he was 6 feet tall and 125 pounds when he was born. Even I wasn't that big!

There was a petting zoo with bunnies, cows, chickens, goats and sheep. You can see part of the sheep in this picture. I liked these sheep much better than the loud "scary sheep" I am used to seeing at Great Brook Farm. I went right up to pet him and thought it was pretty funny.

Laughing at the crazy monkeys.

Petting the big dog statue.

Okay, Mom, I will humor you and look at the camera. But just this once. And I won't smile.

Hamming it up

A cute pic of me (and my buddy Peyton) at the park the other day...

M.O.S.

Mommy and Daddy and I took a trip to the Museum of Science last week. I had a great time visiting the dinosaurs and splashing in the water table. Maybe next time I'll take a nap BEFORE we go.

Perpetual Motion

Some pics of Ryan, Alexandra and me at Perpetual Motion earlier this week. We had a blast and can't wait to go back!

NYC: The Sequel

This weekend I took a trip to New York City. I am happy to report that I enjoyed it much more than last year's trip. I got to see Uncle Mike and even some of the NFL draft!

Here I am catching up on some work at the hotel. Busy, busy, busy...

Daddy and me in Times Square.

Taking a cupcake break in Central Park.

Okay, so maybe New York isn't so bad. I may even visit again!

I love ice cream

Especially when the cone is almost as big as I am.

Playground Romance

We are enjoying some beautiful weather right now. On Monday I was able to spend some quality time with my friends at the park. We had a blast running and climbing but, as you can see, Alexandra and I were quite unimpressed with the swings.

And now for the cutest picture you'll see all week.....

Aquarium

This weekend I went to the Aquarium. I met lots of interesting fish, all of which I named "Nemo". I was most excited about the penguins, starfish and the turtles.

Here are some of my penguin friends.

And the really, really big turtle.

I was pretty tired by this point.

Still, my favorite part of the whole trip was riding in the elevator at the parking garage. Money well spent.

More Dancing!

Daddy & Me

Here are some nice comparison shots of us hanging out on the couch. You'll notice that I got bigger and Daddy shrunk (and we haven't changed our throw pillows).

Toybox

I thought it might be fun to climb into my toybox and throw all my toys on the floor.

I was right, it was fun.

A day in the life of Ben: March '07 Edition

Good morning!

Yo quiero pancakes.

No, I don't want to get dressed! Who needs pants?

Mommy finally caught me. I'm all dressed and making fish faces.

All bundled in the car. Where are we going?

We're at the library for Storytime! I saw my friends Zachary, Leah and Peyton here and we had fun.

We played with maracas shaped like eggs and sang "If You're Happy and You Know It, Shake Your Egg". I am very good at turning around every time Mommy gets out the camera.

Don't I look like such a big boy in this picture?

The maraca shaking made me pretty sleepy. I didn't even finish my graham cracker.

I took a long nap and then had some lunch. Pasta and lima beans, yum!

And some ketchup (or "kebup" as I like to say) for dessert.

I spent some time coloring...

and reading...

took a graham cracker break...

and spent some quality time with my legos.

Time to make dinner!

I'm hungry. You'd better not try to eat my food, Daddy!

Time for a bath. I still have a little ketchup on my face, I think.

In my jammies.

Sneaking in a little workout before bed.

I know how to brush my own teeth, but Elmo needs some help.

Reading with Daddy.

Elmo and I are both pretty sleepy so we'll have to talk to you tomorrow.

Good night!
