Baby monitor musings

When I was a baby, I would wake up and demand attention immediately. Now that I am a big boy, I like to hang out in my crib and talk to myself for a few minutes before I call Mommy or Daddy to come get me. Sometimes I forget that they can hear me on the monitor. These are some of the things they have overheard me say recently:

"Where's Mommy? Mommy's at work. Where's Daddy? Daddy's on the train. I like that. I like that train."
"W! Need more super letters!"
"Oink, oink, oink. That's what a pig says."
"Zookeeper, zookeeper, what do you hear? I hear children." (okay, I was quoting a book there)
"Uh oh, fell down, basketball, basketball!"
"Hey, crocodile, don't drink the water."

It may sound like childish babbling to you, but it all makes perfect sense to me.
