Party Time

My friends and I had big party at Zachary's house to celebrate us all turning 2! Zach's mommy Maria (aka Superwoman) did a fabulous job putting the party together and we had so much fun.

Me and Leah hanging in the sandbox.

I love to swim in the pool with Daddy (especially when we are wearing our matching hats).

Okay, I want to jump but that giant penguin on the diving board is making me nervous.

It is hard to imagine that not very long ago we were babies and our mommies could pose us for pictures like this:

Now any attempts at group pictures look more like this:

Happy Birthday to all my friends!!

Household chores

This morning while Mommy took her 90 second shower, I decided I should do something nice for her.

So I filled up my laundry basket...

...and then made some soup!

I'm such a good helper!

Coolest trike on the block

Check out my new tricycle! I enjoy braking and steering but I don't quite understand the pedaling thing (that's why there is a handle on the back so Daddy or Mommy can push me). I'll figure it out one of these days.

I'm 2!

Saturday was my birthday! Here are some pictures from my party!

Hanging out and eating chips.

Playing in the pool.

Mmmm...train cake!

Having a private conversation with Alexandra.

There was more water in the pool at the beginning of the party.

We will just play with the hose instead.

Lowell Spinners vs. Vermont Lake Monsters

Today, I went to my first baseball game! I watched the game very intently and had lots of fun clapping and making noise.

Touchdown! Oh wait, wrong sport.

Butterflies

Today, I took a trip to The Butterfly Place and walked through an atrium where there were hundreds of butterflies flying all around. Mommy thought they were pretty and took some pictures.

My friends and I got over the excitement quickly. What do you mean, we can't touch anything?

As usual, we were forced to humor our mothers until they saw fit to take us to the gift shop where at least there were some books and puzzles. I got a book all about insects. I've learned to say "praying mantis", "grasshopper" and "chrysalis" but I am not sure what any of those things are.

Zoo

This weekend, Mommy and Daddy and I drove all the way to Providence to visit the animals at the Roger Williams Park Zoo. Alexandra and her parents came with us. I saw lots of new animals I'd never seen in real life before. I read up ahead of time so I could correctly identify them. Sometimes the grown-ups would get too slow and Alex and I would have to remind them that there were "more animals" up ahead.

Here is the great, big elephant with some plants in the way. I think Mommy was trying to take an artistic shot or something.

Alexandra and me (and our dads) watching the elephants.

Still pretty enthralled with the elephants.

The giraffes were inside in the morning because it was a bit too cold for them outside. Later in the day, we saw them outside and wow are they tall! This is the zoo's new baby giraffe with his mommy. He was just born last month and they said he was 6 feet tall and 125 pounds when he was born. Even I wasn't that big!

There was a petting zoo with bunnies, cows, chickens, goats and sheep. You can see part of the sheep in this picture. I liked these sheep much better than the loud "scary sheep" I am used to seeing at Great Brook Farm. I went right up to pet him and thought it was pretty funny.

Laughing at the crazy monkeys.

Petting the big dog statue.

Okay, Mom, I will humor you and look at the camera. But just this once. And I won't smile.
